Issue: | Current disposal system giving cause for concern with the Environmental Agency. |
Resolution: | When WMEC Limited were approached, the obvious solution was to provide a biological treatment plant for the company in question. The system was custom built to cater for wash down water run off from selected animal pens. In addition a small amount of surface water is directed to the plant from two smaller roofs to provide a measure of dilution and increase the expected low volume of flow of 1000 – 1500 litres per 24 hour day. |
Impact: | Compliance with the disposal limits as well as reusing the treated water for irrigation. |
